Future Updates for the Game


Hey everyone


I'd like to start off by saying that I am really happy with how many plays it got and that people seem to enjoy it.


Now, if you have played the game at version 0.0.2 (at the time this post is up) you will notice the lack of content and issues with balancing. Unfortunately, due to how short the jam this game was developed for, I could not put in as much as I wanted, but I do plan on changing that!


Future Updates

For the upcoming updates I have some aims to accomplish: 

- Balancing the game properly

- Making runs feel less repetitive

- Having more engaging gameplay

- Making the game feature-full


Currently the game's balance a mess. The choices typically lean into making you fail too early no matter how hard you try. I plan on fixing this issue through increasing the gains of the choices and adding new responses that will come in handy in certain situations.


To keep the game both engaging and non-repetitive, I plan on have new events that occur by chance and have certain events occur depending on the previous choices you picked. This would allow you to strategize on which path you want from the start and maybe deviate later depending on your situation. You will also no longer just keep choosing one specific choice repetitively and get bored.


Now, the game's state currently does not offer much feature-wise. There is only a few characters you don't get to do much other than pressing replies and upgrading. I plan on adding new characters and adding active effects that you can use during your run so you don't just simply choose replies. There is also other features I want to add in regards to the knight and the pre-run menu.
